PASSERS by were stunned to spot a mysterious object hovering above the beach at Ardrossan this morning (Wednesday).
Following news that the coastline has been identified as a 'UFO hotspot', locals walking their dogs should not have been surprised to spot the shiny flying saucer object, which could be clearly seen near to the Lauriston Hotel just after 9.30am.
One eye-witness said: "I don't think you could say that's a Chinese Lantern."
So was this the clearest sign yet that beings from above have targeted the Three Towns as a regular haunt?
Investigations are continuing, but mysteriously some lettering was spotted on the side of the flying saucer which seemed to read 'Loof Paril'.
